Jehovah is the redemptive name of God.
It refers to the presence of God and the promise of God. In the Old Testament there were 7 compound names of Jehovah.

1. Jehovah Jireh: The Lord our Provider
   Genesis 22:13-14
   Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 And Abraham called the name of the place The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, In the Mount of the LORD it shall be provided.

2. Jehovah Rapha: The Lord our Healer
   Exodus 15:26
   And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I [am] the Lord that healthy thee.

3. Jehovah Nissi: The Lord our Victory
   Exodus 17:15
   And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi.

4. Jehovah Shalom: The Lord our Peace
   Judges 6:24
   Then Gideon built an altar there unto the Lord, and called it Jehovah shalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.

5. Jehovah Raah: The Lord our Shepherd
   Psalms 23:1
   A Psalm of David.* The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

6. Jehovah Tsidkenu: The Lord our Righteousness
   Jeremiah 23:6
   In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord Our Righteousness.

7. Jehovah Shammah: The Lord is There
   Ezekiel 48:35
   It was round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be, The Lord is there.
